🤔 What is it?
- Easily take a full page screenshot in Google Chrome without using any third-party tools
🤷🏻 When should I use this?
- If you’re security and privacy conscious and you don’t want to use a Chrome extension to capture full page screenshots
- If you don’t want to pay for screenshot apps like CleanShot X
📸 Instructions
(scroll down for screenshots)
- Go to a webpage where you want to take a full page screenshot (let’s use my HBR article as an example 😉)
- Press CMD + OPTION + I on a Mac (CTRL + SHIFT + I on Windows)
- Don’t panic
- With your mouse, find the line of code that highlights the entire page on the left (the page you want to take a screenshot of)
- With that line of code selected, press CMD + SHIFT + P on Mac (CTRL + SHIFT + P on Windows)
- Type “screenshot” in the run command bar and select “Capture node screenshot”
- After 1-2 seconds, your full page screenshot should be downloaded automatically!
