🧑🏻🏫 Enable Host Management directly from Google Calendar
🤔 What is it?
You can enable the Host Management setting directly in the Google Calendar invite (aka before the meeting even starts) to avoid potential issues during the meeting
Previously, you could only enable this setting after the meeting had already started in Google Meet (leading to an awkward silence where the host is wasting everyone’s time)
🤷🏻 When should I use this?
By default, Google Meet allows all participants to share their screen and send messages
If you’re giving a formal presentation and want to make sure only select people (i.e. the presenters) can share their screens, you can enable Host Management directly from the Google Calendar invite to avoid an audience member presenting their screen by mistake (trust me, it happens)
