Google Gemini: 3 Use Cases for Gemini Pro

(you can filter previous issues by application!)

Google launched 3 versions of their latest AI Model - Gemini Ultra, Pro, Nano.

Most of us have access to Gemini Pro via Google Bard so I’ll share 3 practical use cases in today’s newsletter.

I’ll be diving a bit further into Google’s announcement in this month’s Debrief so watch out for that in your inbox as well!

#1 - Summarize webpages and videos

My friend sent me this article from Professor Scott Galloway recently and although I could tell it was going to be a good read, I didn’t have time to go through the entire article.

Instead, I pasted the link into Bard and instructed Bard to give me the main point so I could reply my friend as if I read it as quickly as possible 😛.

It did a phenomenal job!

💡
Your turn: Bard can summarize videos too! Try asking Bard to summarize this 4 minute announcement video from the Google Gemini team

#2 - Prompt with speech

Typing prompts can be a bit time-consuming. Simply click on the Microphone icon and start talking to Bard!

#3 - Analyze data-heavy graphs

I pasted this chart from The Economist into Bard:

Then, I asked Bard what point they were trying to make:

The reason I’m impressed is that the graph I shared doesn’t make it obvious that the trade deficit increased (since the red line is trending down).

Bard was also able to draw insights such as “this suggests that the trade deficit with China contributed to the loss of manufacturing jobs in the US” AND give explanations for this conclusion!

I’m always looking for ways to improve so give me anonymous feedback here 📝
