Google Chat: Find Messages & Files in Seconds!
(you can filter previous issues by application!)
When your colleague is a “little slow”
(disclaimer: I am totally not referring to any of my colleagues. I love them all. Obviously.)
Hypothetically, I would get extremely frustrated at work when a colleague asks me for something I literally just sent them moments ago:
Instead of trying to reply with a screenshot or a description of where they can find the information, simply copy and paste the link to your message:
- 3 dots > Copy link > Paste in chat
- Whoever clicks the link will be brought to the message directly (provided they have access)

Jokes aside: This feature works particularly well if you’re in a group chat with lots of messages and a particular chat got lost
Bonus: Add files with “@”
Instead of pasting links to documents or using the ‘+’ icon to the left of the chatbox, link to documents using “@”
