Google Gemini: From Research to Pivot Table in 3 minutes

From 30 minutes to 3 minutes

I recently started research on Fortune 500 companies for a project at work, and this was the prompt I started out with:

And this is what Bard generated:

After clicking into Google Sheets directly from Bard, I went ahead and opened up Smart Menu (OPTION + / or Alt + /) and typed in “Pivot table” with the highlighted data:

After a few more clicks to sort by Country and Company, boom!

I basically bypassed 30+ minutes of extra work (i.e. Googling the information > Copy and pasting into Sheets > Clear formatting, etc.)

💡

Pro tip: If you are worried about Bard making mistakes (or hallucinating), click the “Google” icon at the bottom to force Bard to double-check for accuracy
