šŸ‘» Send Disappearing Emails

If you want to send an email but don’t want the contents coming back to bite you in the butt (i.e. funny yet inappropriate memes šŸ˜‰) you can use ā€œConfidential Modeā€ in Gmail

Instructions:

  1. Compose an email you may regret in the future
  2. Click ā€œConfidential Modeā€ at the bottom
  3. Choose when you want the email to expire
  4. For extra security you can pick ā€œSMS Passcodeā€ (note: enter the recipient’s phone number, not your own)
  5. You can remove access even before the expiration date by going to the email in your ā€œSentā€ folder

Implications

  • For the recipient, the options to copy, paste, download, print, and forward the message text and attachments will be disabled
