[Workspace] Use Gmail Layouts to Impress Colleagues

Workspace editions are for Google Workspace users (i.e. businesses), and are sent in addition to the regular weekly Productivity Pings

(you can filter previous editions by application!)

🤔 What is Gmail Layouts?

  • It’s a new feature within Gmail that lets you send emails using an existing template, so you don’t have to waste time making your email look pretty
  • This is an extremely welcome feature since I used to draft my own Project Recap templates on Google Docs before copy and pasting them into Gmail

🤷🏻 How should I use this?

If you have some learnings and takeaways to share following the completion of a project or campaign, use this Layouts feature to quickly create a pretty-looking project recap email

💡
Pro tip #1: Customize your layout by adding a logo and changing the font and color scheme
💡
Pro tip #2: Use Color Hunt to find a color palette you like (I like the pastel collection)

⌨️ Keyboard shortcut

  • When composing an email, CMD + SHIFT + B to add bcc (CTRL + SHIFT + B for Windows)
