Calendar: Assign Timezones to Colleagues

(you can filter previous editions by application!)

🤔 What is it?

If you’ve been following me for any length of time you know I’m a huge fan of Google Calendar’s timezone features:

  • Adding and labeling a secondary timezone
  • Adding multiple timezones to the left menu bar

🤷🏻 What's the tip?

Even with these timezone features, it’s kind of hard to remember the timezones for all your colleagues! So here’s a trick:

  • Select the name(s) of your close teammates > 3 dots > Settings
  • Simply copy the timezone below their name and paste it as part of their name!

Of course, if the “GMT” value means nothing to you, you can always change it to something more intuitive, like:
