💬 Chat and Work at the Same Time!
🤔 What is it?
- If someone sends you a link to a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slides via Google Chat, you can preview (and edit) the file straight from the chatroom!
🤷🏻 When should I use this?
- Oftentimes, someone may want to quickly double-check a small detail with us
- It’s actually a bit annoying to have to (1) Click into the file, (2) Wait for yet another new tab to load, (3) Go back to the chat and ask where exactly we should be looking at, etc.
- The next time someone sends you a link, simply click “Open in Chat” (NOT the full link) to have a side-by-side view. Now you can quickly give your feedback without having to leave the chatroom!
- This works for both Chat within Gmail and the standalone Google Chat app!
