⏩ Edit Gmail Title before Forwarding

🤔 What is it?

  • To increase the likelihood of the recipient taking action, you should always edit the title before forwarding an email
Meaningless title full of "fwd" and "re"

🤷🏻 When should I use this?

  • Instead of forwarding an email to a friend or colleague and then writing “FYI, this is useful” you can include the implication in the title

📸 Instructions

  1. Use the keyboard shortcut “f” to start forwarding an email (make sure you have keyboard shortcuts enabled in Gmail settings!)
  2. Click the “forward” icon and click “Edit Subject”
  3. Add a meaningful title!

  • “f” to forward emails, “r” to reply and “a” to reply all
