[Workspace] Use Slide Recordings to Replace Meetings!

Workspace editions only apply for Business Workspace users, and are sent in addition to weekly Productivity Pings

(you can always filter previous issues by application!)

Once a month, a few colleagues in NYC would stay up extra late and a few of us in Asia would get up extra early to have a 15-minute meeting on this global-local tools project (we all love this project sooooooooooo much).

Ever since I recommended the project manager simply make a slideshow recording on Google Slides and solicit feedback on a Google Doc, everyone loves me sooooooooooooooo much.

Google Slides takes on Loom

Click on the “Rec” button on the top right in Google Slides to access the Slide Recording feature:

Honestly the process is pretty self-explanatory so I’m just going to point out some customizable features:

Click here to make a copy of my Executive Summary slides

After the recording has been processed, navigate back to the “Rec” button to access links to the recordings.

My favorite use cases

  1. Communicating with a remote team across time zones
  2. Standardizing an onboarding process
  3. Recording answers to frequently asked questions and directing colleagues to watch the recordings

Shortcut: Change Slides background with 1 click

Remember you can just drag and drop images to quickly change your Google Slides background 😁
