Google Docs: Split Cells, not Atoms

(you can filter previous issues by application!)

Let’s say you create a table within Google Docs using the “@table” command but you realize another column is needed.

Specifically you just want to split 1 cell into two:

Instead of having to re-create the table or messing around in the options, simply:

  • Right click > Split Cell > Enter number of rows and columns you want

Bonus: Add word to dictionary

If Google Docs doesn’t recognize an acronym or project name you frequently use as a correctly spelled word, simply:

  • Right click > Add to dictionary

I’m always looking for ways to improve so give me anonymous feedback here 📝
