Google Sheets: 3 Features I Use Every Week

(you can filter previous issues by application!)

#1: Column Stats

I review your feedback for this newsletter regularly, and the Column Stats tool makes it super easy for me to see the high-level trends:

Menu > Data > Column Stats
💡
Pro tip: You can choose to ignore rows without relevant data

I always start with the Column Stats tool before diving deeper into the data, and the automatically generated graphs and charts are easily shareable as well!

#2: Data Cleanup

I used to have to review and clean up typos, duplications, and white space manually but now you can just:

  • Menu > Data > Data Cleanup

Review Cleanup Suggestions on the right and either accept or ignore the changes!

Menu > Data > Data Cleanup

#3: Split text into columns

Highlight column > Data > Split text into columns

Pretty self-explanatory. No need to use complicated formulas anymore!

I’m always looking for ways to improve so give me anonymous feedback here 📝
