As a visual learner, I’ve wanted the ability to annotate when presenting Google Slides for the longest time and to my surprise, Google rolled this out for Google Slides, Docs, and Sheets!
Within a Google Meet, choose a Google Slides, Docs, or Sheets tab to present and the “Annotate” feature will be available automatically (although I have to say as much as I like it I would like an option to turn this off by default).
You can <RIGHT CLICK> to select from a list of annotation options (I use “Disappearing ink” and “Text box” the most) and easily clear all annotations by clicking “Clear all.”
If you’re presenting Google Slides locally (i.e. you’re NOT using Google Meet), you can still turn on the pen feature by using the keyboard shortcut SHIFT + L
