# KEEP Important Notes within Reach in Gmail

Pin notes you know you will reference often in Google Keep:

- Whenever you open Google Keep in the companion bar while you're in Gmail or Calendar, you will see the pinned notes first

For example for information you have to copy and paste a lot in email, it's probably a good idea to have those pinned in your Google Keep for easy access

## ⌨️ Keyboard shortcuts - Compose & Create List in Google Keep

Similar to Gmail, "C" shortcut will quickly let you create a new note, and "L" will let you create a new list
