# Search Someone’s Google Drive *FOR* Them!

## 🌟 Search Someone Else’s Google Drive (for them)!

If your manager (or any colleague really) asks you for a file they already have access to in their Google Drive, do this:

1. Go to YOUR OWN Google Drive ([https://drive.google.com/drive/my-drive](https://drive.google.com/drive/my-drive?ref=jeffsu.org))
2. Search for the file like you would normally
3. Copy the URL and send THAT to your colleague

This becomes super powerful if they’re asking for more than 1 file. You can search for “2022 planning” for example and all related documents (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Folders) will all show up!

- Press “/” in Google Drive to bring your cursor to the Search Bar directly!
