## When Bard Meets Gmail

[Google Bard extensions](https://blog.google/products/bard/google-bard-new-features-update-sept-2023/?ref=jeffsu.org) have been live for a month now and so far, I’ve found the “@gmail” extension to be the most practical.

### Instructions

First, make sure the “Google Workspace” extension is enabled by clicking into the extensions icon:

Then, start a new chat and type in “@gmail” anywhere within your prompt!

### My top 3 use cases

1. Summarizing my unread emails at the beginning of every day
2. Asking for summaries of emails from a specific sender (see first screenshot)
3. Asking Bard when was the last time I emailed a specific person
